Question: What does deeper thinking mean to you?

A number of years ago I worked on a market creation project in Central Asia. When I met with the government representatives at the start of the project they told me, “You’re an outsider and will never understand how we do things here.” Not the best start to the assignment, but it didn’t put me off. It was very gratifying that at the end of the field work when I met them again and talked about the proposed project strategy they said, “Grant, yes, you really do understand how it works here.”

At E Co., Deeper Thinking is our ethos. We don’t come with preconceived ideas and solutions. We work hard to understand the needs and priorities of our clients, to think deeply about that, and translate their needs and priorities into project strategies that are effective and efficient and work for them. For me, that is the essence of Deeper Thinking.
