Question: What feedback have stakeholders said about GCF gender requirements?
In the eighth edition of our GCF insight publication, which surveys trends and experiences of people engaged with the GCF, we explored stakeholder perceptions of the GCF’s gender mainstreaming efforts and existing gender mainstreaming challenges and opportunities.
We disseminated the survey to our extensive network of practitioners. Our research showed that most respondents found the gender requirements for the accreditation and project development to be complex or at least, moderately challenging.
For this reason, up to 60% of Accredited Entities have a gender specialist or allocated staff member committed to the gender requirements of the project.
