Question: Tell us about your professional experience
My background is in industrial design and sustainable production systems and I’ve been always passionate about the circular economy, inclusive and alternative business models that are both environmentally and socially sustainable.
My career started in South Africa where I worked on designing a sustainable mobility system for marginalised communities in Cape Town. After that, I knew that I wanted to use my design skills for achieving sustainable development.
I’ve worked for 5 years as researcher, focusing mainly on energy access and business model design for distributed and off grid technologies. For my PhD I developed a toolkit that supports companies and practitioners in designing energy access projects.
As a consultant I worked on gender’s inclusivity in renewable energy value chain and off-grid market assessments.
